MAURINE ANNETTE BOUDREAUX LOUPE

On the evening of Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, a mighty prayer warrior and child of God was finally called home to be with her Lord and Savior. Maurine Annette Boudreaux Loupe, 77, a native of Simmesport, Louisiana, and former resident of Morgan City, Louisiana, and Centerville, Mississippi, was passionate about Jesus.
A wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and mentor — she was not perfect, but forgiven, and always felt the urgency to tell people about Jesus and His salvation. She spent most of her life in prayer and petition, standing in the gap for her family and loved ones, people she knew, and those she didn’t know.
Annette and her loving husband, Forrest J. Loupe Jr., celebrated their 59th anniversary in September. She was adored by him and loved him with all her heart. She took great care of him during their 59 years together until their roles were reversed when she was diagnosed with ALS. Forrest then became the caregiver throughout her illness with tenderness, love and affection, making her his only priority.
Annette is also survived by her children, Mark Loupe and wife Michelle, Nancy Pendas and husband Albert, and Tammy Landry and husband David; grandchildren, Caren Richard and husband Travis, Aaron Loupe and wife Karmen, Marqui Swisher and husband Stephen, Samantha Fuselier and husband Cody, Shannon Livezy and husband Tyler, and Brooke Landry; great-grandchildren, Shaunathan Raby, Olivia Patterson, Aydan Fuselier, Bentley and Brooklyn Fuselier, Stephen Swisher IV, Brody Swisher, Graham Richard, and Baby Livezy due in May; and siblings, Dorothy Higgins, Doug Boudreaux, Effie Ellerbee, Robbie Boudreaux and Nona Thompson.
Annette was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Loupe; granddaughter, Engelle Loupe; grandson, James Raby; parents, Noah and Julia Boudreaux; brother, Daniel Boudreaux; mother- and father-in-law, Wilhelmina and Forrest Loupe Sr.; sister-in-law, Gayle Davis; and brother-in-law, David Loupe.
Her life’s work finished, she took her last breath without struggling, entering peacefully into the arms of Jesus. In her suffering, she never lost her sweet spirit.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Hargrave Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Landry, Albert Pendas, Wiley Jackson, Robbie Boudreaux, Doug Boudreaux, Travis Richard, Nathan Temple and Jimmy Burns.

A resident of New Iberia and Lafayette, La. for most of his life, Matt was a loving son, grandson, uncle, brother, cousin and friend. If you were Matt’s friend, he was loyal to you forever. He was and is loved by so many. His laughter and smile were contagious. He had a heart as big as he was. Matthew never met a stranger. His presence and personality would light up the room when he entered. As much as he is loved so will he be missed.
Matt was a proud Marine. He served honorably in the Marine Corps and saw combat in Ramadi Iraq in 2004 and 2005. As proud as he was of his service, he was torn about the job they had to do.
He loved the outdoors…swimming, skiing, hunting, country music, old trucks, boiled crawfish. He loved children. They looked upon him as this big teddy bear of a man who would play with them and make them laugh. Uncle Matt will be missed.
The family will receive friends in Martin & Castille’s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Memorial contributions can be made in Matthew Feske’s name to Marine Corp Scholarship Fund, Save A Warrior Program, or Brothers and Sisters in Arms Dog Training.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Franklin following eulogies beginning at 10 a.m. for Michael R. Morton, who passed away at the age of 79 in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Michael was born June 7th 1937 in El Paso TX. He graduated from Ysleta High School in El Paso in 1956. He graduated from University of Texas El Paso.
Before founding Landcoast, Michael was a consultant for a worldwide Insulation company. During his career Michael and the family spent a year living and working in Israel.
Michael was fortunate enough to earn a living doing what he loved. In August 1974 he founded Landcoast Insulation Inc. headquarted in New Iberia, Louisiana. Through his hard work and tireless dedication Michael built Landcoast into what today is a leading force in the insulation industry. Michael was also actively involved in St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Franklin, LA.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jessie Morton; son, Robert Michael Morton; and daughter, Robin Morton; five grandchildren, Hollie Morton White and husband Jeff White, Alyson Morton Blackwell, Taylor Morton, Myla Romero and Marley Romero; five great-grandchildren, Carter and Maddox Blackwell, and Noah, Harper and Henlee White; brothers, Edmond Morton and Timothy Morton; and sister, Frances Morton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth Morton; brothers, Patrick and Richard Morton; and sister, Mary Morton-Harrison.
For those who were fortunate enough to know “Mick” many great memories come to mind. A man of few words, shy and reserved, who had a heart as big as could be. From filling a hundred trick or treating bags each year no matter if 10 kids came, to ordering Ruston peaches by the truckload each year for friends and family even though he didn’t even like peaches. Never one to want any praise or credit for the countless things he did. Never one to complain, no matter the pain.
Without question his passion was his family. A loving husband of 56 years, a loving and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he never missed the opportunity to be together. For those lucky enough to be with him at those times, the casual smile on his face told us all we needed to know. He was quietly taking it all in, one breath at a time.
So many things we wish we could say now that you’re not here. Just know you’ve set the bar high, as a husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. We are so very blessed to have been able to share our lives with such an amazing person, in every facet of the word.
As we reflect on all the great memories we have shared with Pops, we can all agree that heaven is lucky to have such a great soul, we can’t wait to see you…
