BONNIE ALLBRITTON WHITE

Bonnie Allbritton White, age 76, passed away at her Austin home on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, after a 3-year battle with lung cancer. Her loving husband of 59 years, Doug, was at her side.
Bonnie lived in many different states and countries as she followed and supported her husband in his Air Force career. These included South Carolina, Louisiana, Taiwan, Texas, Germany, Virginia, Ohio and Saudi Arabia. She was always an active member of local charities wherever her husband was stationed. She loved antiquing, golfing and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Douglas W. White, USAF, Ret., and children Douglas W. White II, Mary W. Freelove, and Robert L. White II, as well as four grandchildren, Sara Freelove, Claire Lowande, Kaitlin White and D.J. White.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Allbritton and Alice Webb, and her two brothers, Larry Allbritton and Norbert Allbritton.
Special thanks to Mrs. Linda Nichols, Bonnie’s wonderful care-giver who made her last years so much better. Also, thank you to Dr. Beth Hellerstedt and to the nurses and staff at St. David’s Round Rock Hospital for their caring and support.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at the Mausoleum chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at the Patterson Community Center from noon until 4 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. for Michael Genzale, a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Patterson, who passed away at his home at the age of 60 on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016. The Rev. Toby Ryder will conduct the memorial service.
Michael is survived by his three children, Chris Genzale, SFC Brian Genzale and his wife Dana, and Heather G. Garcia and her husband Wilfredo; one grandson, Ethan Garcia; four siblings, Mark Genzale and his wife Denise, Mario Genzale, Joanne Genzale, and Jean Genzale-Bertrand and her husband Dwayne; one niece, Madison Genzale; one nephew, Connor Bertrand; as well as his longtime companion, Dianne Cremaldi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Vincent Genzale and America Matus Genzale.

November 19, 1921 - December 4, 2016
Ralph W. Thomas, best known as Pappy, was a native of Oklahoma and a longtime resident of Morgan City. Pappy passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at the age of 95.
Pappy leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 23 years, D. Thomas of Morgan City; his daughter, Miranda “Mandy” Suire and her husband, Tommy; and his son, Leon McClendon and his wife, Donna.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Pappy loyally served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II, where he survived two sunken ships, one of which Pappy assisted all other Coast Guard members off before he himself, abandoned. While serving his nation, he received awards for his dedication and valor. Pappy was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge in Morgan City, of which he was a Master Mason in 1964.
Before retirement, Pappy and his wife D. transported vehicles across the United States for Courtesy Vehicles of Morgan City. While working for Courtesy, Pappy was able to see many sights across this nation. Well lived, Pappy had an eventful and happy life, but among all he did, he was most proud of being a member of Bayou Vista Baptist Church.
The family requests that a time of visitation and remembrance be observed Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Pappy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery where Masonic services and military honors will be rendered.

He will be interred in St. Helens Cemetery, Glencoe, LA.

Born on February 26, 1930, to the late Alfred Joseph Tabb and Eva Goulas Tabb, Curless, affectionately known as “Blackie” departed this life on December 5, 2016. He was 86 years old.

Left to cherish his memories is his companion, Marjorie Guilotte, Baldwin, LA; wife, Marian Tabb, Baldwin, LA; significant other, Melissa Guillot; three sons, Alfred Joseph (Juanita) Tabb, Baldwin, LA, Claude Tabb, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, Marcus Tabb, Baldwin, LA; one daughter, Aline (Roger) Clements, Franklin, LA; one brother, Howard (Sandra) Tabb, Baldwin, LA; one brother-in-law, Huey Carline; one sister-in-law, Irene Tabb, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; John Richard Tabb, Claude Tabb, Sidney Tabb; and two sisters, Catherine Tabb and Anna Mae Carline

Active pallbearers will be Alfred Tabb, Claude Tabb, Zack Tabb, Marcus Tabb, Adam Clements, Roger Clements.

Honorary Pallbearer will be David Tabb, Jr.

Reverend Fields will lie in state for public visitation on Friday Dec. 9, 2016 at the St. Luke Baptist Church in Patterson, La. from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday Dec. 10, 2016 from 9 a.m. until A Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. at the Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church 321 Center Street New Iberia, La. 70560. Burial will follow funeral services in the Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, La.

Eddie Lyons Jr., 56, a native of Lafayette and resident of Charenton died Friday at his residence.
Visitation will be observed at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1262 Bobtown Road, Charenton, Saturday from 9-11 a.m. and burial rites will be read at the church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Godfrey will officiate.
He is survived by brothers Edward “Jimmy” Lyons Sr. and his wife Desiree of Charenton, and Ronald Ray and his wife Paula Lyons of Atlanta, Georgia; and a sister, Loretta Ann Lyons, of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Catherine Moore Broussard, 73, a native of Shadyside and a resident of Franklin, died Monday at 8:32 p.m. at Franklin Health Care Center.
Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the Otis Mortuary Chapel, 501 Willow St., Franklin, with burial rites at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the New Providence Cemetery, Centerville. Rev. Ulysses Mitchell Jr. will officiate.
She is survived by sons Alfred Broussard III, of Verdunville and Dwayne Broussard of Franklin; five sisters, Carolyn Boatman, Evelyn Mack and Delores Stewart, all of Franklin; Linda (Victor) Lashley of Verdunville, and Diane (Eddie) Freeman of New Iberia.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, during an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Hillery B. Freeman, a native of Houma and a lifelong resident of Franklin who passed away at the age of 76 with his wife at his side on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at his home. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Rineholt, Charles Pillaro, David Gorman, Tony Molaison, Jimmy Rineholt, and Billy Sloan. Musical selections will be provided by vocalist, Laura Pierce and organist, Dexter Thibodeaux.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. The mortuary will reopen Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. until time of dismissal at 10:30 a.m.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alice Freyou Freeman and their son, Conway Freeman; his sister, Eloise Freeman; and his sister-in-law, Julie Romero and her husband Kardell.
He was preceded in death by one son, Perry Freeman; his parents, Armand Freeman and Cecile Doucet Freeman; one sister, Carolyn Ann Freeman; one nephew, Brian Freeman; and his parents-in-law, Relies Freyou and Gertrude Romero Freyou.

Linda Ann Pennison Johnson was born in Morgan City, Louisiana, and resided in this area until a later move to Lakeland, Florida, where she was a longtime resident until her passing on Nov. 12. She was 60 years old.
Linda leaves behind three sisters, Dianne Hall and Nancy Landry of Morgan City, and Carol Benoit of Amelia; three nephews, Harry Paul Benoit Jr. and his wife Mandy of Maurice, Landon Landry of McKinney, Texas, and Perry Lamar Hall of Morgan City, along with several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Gloria Wagner and Katie Sturm of Florida.
Linda joined in heaven, her stillborn brother and her parents, Dewey and Odelia Cavalier Pennison; and her grandparents, Herbert and Olivia Cavalier, and Walter and Mathilda Pennison.
A small graveside service will be held at an unspecified date, where Linda will be laid to rest with her parents in the St. Andrew Church Cemetery in Amelia.

Voncilia Barrilleaux, best known as Vickie, a native of Mamou and a longtime resident of Bayou Vista, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at the age of 82.
Vickie was a devoted parishioner and member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church of Bayou Vista. Very religious, Vickie dedicated her life to her Catholic faith and her beloved family.
Vickie retired from the banking industry after almost 25 years of service. While working for a local bank, Vickie was blessed to meet many friends and co-workers who she considered as family and still remained close to.
She held many interests in life such as visiting the local casino, dancing at Fred’s in Mamou, spending time with longtime friends like Wanda Montgomery and especially making great memories with her family. Vickie will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Those left to cherish Vickie’s memory are her grandson, Ronnie Hensarling and his wife, Liz; one granddaughter-in-law, Kim Weatherford; three great-grandchildren, Kala Marie Jennings, Erin Chase and Ethan Kross Hensarling; one great-great-granddaughter, June Lynn Jennings; one great-great-grandson, Brantley; stepdaughter, Debbie; stepson, Curtis Daigle and his wife, Brenda; step-granddaughters, Misti, Tina and Gina; step-great-grandchildren, Keyana and David; and great friends, Billy and Wanda Montgomery.
She joined in heaven her husband, Wilson “Sonny” Barrilleaux; her parents, Hillary and Enice Tate; one stepson, Roy Daigle; and her grandson, Eric Wayne Hensarling.
The family requests that a time of visitation and remembrance be observed Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, from noon until time of dismissal at St. Bernadette Catholic Church Hall. A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Vickie at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 2 p.m. following visitation with the Rev. William “Bill” Rogalla officiating. Vickie will be laid to rest with her husband in the Morgan City Mausoleum following services.

Frank S. Maddix, 68, a resident of Stephensville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born Jan. 16, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas the son of Jessie C. Maddix and Rovena “Rena” Cole.
Frank was a very hard worker all his life. As a 17-year-old boy he became a deckhand on his uncle’s boat and this is where his love of being on the water began. He received his captain’s license and had a very long career as a boat captain. Being a boat captain took Frank all over the world, navigating boats to Africa and through the Panama Canal. He loved being with his family and cherished the time that he got to spend with them. Frank truly loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Adeline “Lea” Foret Verrett Maddix of Stephensville; his father, Jessie C. Maddix; one stepson, Adam Verrett and wife Danielle of Stephensville; three stepdaughters, Melissa Frangenburg of Morgan City, Tammy Lynn Broussard and husband Troy of Bayou Vista, and Carol Jean Sanders and husband Dean of Panama City, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Frank is also survived by two brothers, William “Billy” Boswell and wife Paula of San Antonio, and Walter Boswell and wife Debbie of Patterson; three sisters, Derinda Cantrell and husband Mike of Danbridge, Tennessee, Charlene Tholen and husband John of Berwick, and Darlene Hughes and husband John of Patterson; and sister-in-law, Connie Adkins of Berwick.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Rovena “Rena” Cole Watson; stepfather, O.B. Watson; and two brothers, Jimmy Adkins and Richard Watson.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home with the funeral service taking place at 8 p.m.

Bertha Foreman, a native of Kaplan and a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at the age of 81.
Bertha is survived by her children, Geraldine Foreman, Carl Foreman and wife Holly, and Terry Foreman and wife Shara; grandchildren, Brennan Foreman and Abigail Foreman; and sister, Lilly Mae Harrington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Easton Foreman Jr.; parents, Joseph Lemaire and Clementine Martin Lemaire; and numerous brothers and sisters.
A prayer service was held today, Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Hargrave Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Graveside services followed at Morgan City Cemetery.

Sheila Ann Stokley Blanchard, 49, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Sheila was born Nov. 25, 1967, in Morgan City, the daughter of J.C. Stokley and Anita Verrett Stokley.
Sheila was a devoted wife, mom and Mimi, as she was always taking care of her children and her grandchildren. She always put her family before herself and truly loved being there for her family.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, George A. Blanchard of Bayou Vista; four children, Brittany Price, Brennan Blanchard, Brooke Blanchard and Bethany Blanchard, all of Bayou Vista; two grandchildren, Carsyn Blanchard and Maverick Blanchard; and one brother, Anthony Stokley of Bayou Vista.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Anita Verrett Stokley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home with the Rev. Chad Hebert officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home with the visitation resuming from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, Sheila will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
