Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church in Centerville for Mr. Jack Dayton Woolbright. The Rev. Larry Long will conduct the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Garrison Theriot, Louis Dumesnil, James Winch, Devin Pichoff, Vincent Ashley, and Derek Delahoussaye. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 21, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitations will resume at the church on Thursday at 12 p.m.
Jack was born in Harlingen, TX, grew up in San Benito, TX, and has been a longtime resident of Frances Plantation in Garden City. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having honorably served during the Korean War. He passed away at the age of 84 at his home on Sunday, September 18, 2016, he and his late wife’s anniversary.
Survivors include his three daughters, Shannon Winch and her husband, James of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Franceine Woolbright of Charenton; and Danielle Woolbright of Garden City; seven grandchildren, Tristan Dayton Richard and his wife Kristin Jarvis, Colin Lawrence Richard, Aubre Richard Rivera and her husband, David; Alayna Jacqueline Pichoff and her husband, Devin; Dacia Bianca Box, Ryan Winch, and David Winch; four great grandchildren, Laila May Richard, Devin Rafael Rivera, Avery James Rivera, and Trey Wade Pichoff; two brothers-in-law, Roy P. Theriot and his wife, Fern; and Barney Garrison Theriot, Jr. and his wife, Charlene; five sisters-in-law, Flavia Raye Dumesnil and her husband, Louis; Sandra Gay Theriot, Veronica Faith Pesson and her husband, Lonnie; Joyce Theriot, and Beryle Woolbright; as well numerous nieces and nevhews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Barbara Theriot Woolbright; two, daughters, Delayne Richard and Jacqueline Sweeney; one grandson, James Clinton Sweeney; one granddaughter, Bryony Camille Richard; his parents, Martin and Minnie Woolbright; five brothers, Ray, Melvin, Don, Marvin, and Bob Woolbright; one sister, Ruby Dale Collier; his parents-in-law, Barney Garrison Theriot Sr. and Hazel Ashley Theriot; as well as several in-lay nieces and nephews.
